Muscle Point Therapy is a rapidly evolving hands-on technique that focuses on acute and chronic myofascial pain conditions. Muscle Point Therapy incorperates the release of fascia with joint mobilization to increase muscle range of motion and joint function. Combining these procedures have shown to eliminate persistent sources of muscle and joint pain.

Muscle Point Therapy is used to treat:

  - Soft Tissue Injuries

  - Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome

  - Fibromyalgia

  - Sciatica

  - Chronic Neck and Shoulder Pain.

  - Chronic Low Back and Leg Pain

Successful treatment begins with allowing blood flow back into the injured or tight area. This requires getting the muscles to relax or release and may be done with heat, ice, ultrasound, myofascial or trigger point therapy. Myofascial therapy requires Dr. Rodriguez to manually break up the tissue tightness, a process that can be painfull for some patients.

The second step involves stretching and legnthening the affected muscles and fascia to increase range of motion.

The final step is joint mobilization by manually applying a controlled force into the joint complex that has become hypomobile – or restricted in its movement.
